2. Get Wise
Out on the street I come face to face
With what little concern we have for others, in this human race.
You can choose the view you want to see but
It’s harder to care than to live in apathy!
Just Get Wise!
When it’s ten years later and we’ve had our turn
Will our foundation crack or will it stand firm.
Poverty, hunger, addiction and disease.
I want to lend a hand to those in need.
I hear the critics but I know these thoughts are real
And I know part of you too feels the way I feel!
I’ll open my eyes and just get wise.
And live my life so that suffering may cease.
I’ll live my life so one may walk in peace!
3. Peace
What is peace? You tell me you know.
When so quickly it comes and so quickly it goes.
It’s the absence of struggle not some hippy cliché.
And it’s got real worth no matter what people say.
In figureheads we won’t find. Until we first find it in our own lives!
PEACE! Live in Peace!
Turn on the news and see there is a need.
Fighting, without humanity.
And even the strongest person with concrete beliefs will need relief.
They will one day cry for peace.

I’m tired, still I’m trying, to find real peace inside myself.
It’s not a world away.
We face it everyday.
I’m praying for peace. In everyone!
It’s time to give it up.
I’m sick of fighting people that I love so much.
Come together cause it really matters.

4. No Way To Live
It’s a trap sometimes I can’t escape.
We all need support when we’ve lost our way.
It’s faith, knowing you’ll be there.
And the difference you make with your heart and hands.
Taking and taking. When you have such a chance to give
That’s just no way to live!
So much potential for influence.
But a lack of those who really care.
Weighted down? Try standing up!

Here’s a story about a guy I knew. He had no faith in himself, so how could he be true?
In times of trouble I hoped that he could see all the strength he had inside, all that he could be.
But he was one of those people whose loyalties are few. He’ll sit back laughing cause it’s so much easier to do. He’s the one left feeling lonely inside and I’m hoping and praying he’s gonna realize. You can’t truly live until you give!
5. Learning
I feel it in my veins, an urge to change.
Not stay the same.
I know my faults and where I’ve been.
Facing my failures so won’t again.
I’ve done the best with what I’ve had
And I’ll keep regrets from fucking up my head.
Learn from our mistakes before it’s too late.
There were times when we stuck like glue.
But we sat back and watched as the distance grew.
Do we care? Did we loose sight? Will we learn, will we do what’s right?

6. What We Know
We’re just kids trying to do our best
Do what’s right for us, despite what’s good for all the rest.
It’s not we wear on our hands or on our feet.
It’s the good we’re trying to do. The goals we set that we’re trying to meet.

7. Pursuit of Happiness
Searching for our lives goals
and something to hold and make us feel whole.
dissatisfaction as soon as we aquire and
we’re blinded by what it is we desire.
In pursuit of happiness!
Living life in ignorance there’s no bliss.
Stop, look and contemplate.
Is this cycle all are there is? Is this our fate?
Whether it’s money, clothes, drugs or booze.
When we quest for what’s impermanent, we’re
gonna loose.

There is nothing wrong with material taste.
Just see it’s true worth and understand it’s place.
This cycle we’re in begins again and it’s up to each of us to decide where it ends.
8. Face The Pain
I’ve got people to stand with me but I’ve got to bare this on my own.
Feeling fear has brought me too my knees. Do I have the strength I truly need?
Face the pain.
Being angry won’t get me far if what I planned isn’t how things are.
Facing life I’ll take the risk of finding our how life really is.

We can’t keep doing what we’ve always done!
When the pain starts we can’t turn and run.
If you think stuck, stop and look again.

It’s an instinct in my brain
To live a balanced life but everyday it’s so hard to maintain
Things in life will loose their meaning
And lost alone and out of control is how I’m feeling

Talking your shit, playing your games
You try to tell me who is righteous and tell me who is lame
So easy to point fingers, to criticize
But while everyone is laughing the spirit dies!

When we started, it was so simple then.
Honest motivation. We were the best of friends.
It’s sad that some, choose not to stick around.
But we’ve paid for our mistakes and you can’t keep us down!
It’s a new reality!
Learning and growing, all we’ve shared and understood. It’s made us better than we were before with friendship and brotherhood.
Now I see, a hope in each new face.
Old friends still endure, I know we’ve got what it takes
Not afraid to care, we all do our part.
These days have changed my head and they’ve opened up my heart!
